CorvilNet Solution Assists Trading Companies in Risk Management

Corvil has unveiled a brand new solution called CorvilNet to help firms cope with technology risk in their trading infrastructure.

Corvil is a provider of monitoring and risk mitigation solutions for electronic trading firms. The new solution will assist in enhancing its customer base.

The newly announced CorvilNet solution has been designed to reinforce operational risk management by delivering extra, independent barriers and checkpoints against technology-related vulnerabilities.

The traditional role of CorvilNet has been to assist companies in administering performance and ensuring reliability in the trading infrastructure. The redesigned solution will also act as an autonomous and parallel monitoring system.

This move should make sense, as trading companies deal with a volatile trading behavior on a daily basis and if a wide variety of metrics triggered, the emergency processes can be alerted.

This process would kick in without depending on the self-reporting of glitches from the same erroneously behaving decision-making factors.

The Corvil solution for technology risk management is quite intuitive and has been designed to enhance prevailing processes already in place in trading organizations with no loss of speed in delivering a more comprehensive system summary, with the potential to resolve behavior across multifaceted interconnected systems.

It is also clear that the more layers of security an institute implements, the fewer the risk of errors or blunders leading to material or status losses. Trade experts have observed just as well in the past that the greater level of freedom between the various layers of protection, the greater total protection provided.

"Trade technology and operational risk must be managed to avoid financial and reputational damage," said Corvil CEO Donal Byrne. "Our customers need a complete overview and must understand what is happening throughout their trading infrastructure.”

“Corvil now offers comprehensive trade monitoring, business level visibility tools and a consulting service to work hand-in-hand with each customer,” he said. “This delivers the complete and comprehensive overview required in today's trading environment."
