Aon eSolutions Publishes 2012 Global Risk Technology Survey

In the insurance industry, the efficiency of a company is largely dependent on its ability to process, analyze and act on risk and insurance coverage information quickly. Often, these companies need insightful benchmarking with respect to their risk data management. Aon eSolutions, a company that provides cloud-based and on-premises business solutions, recently published a survey that focuses on top 10 global risk influencers.

Titled ‘2012 Global Risk Technology Survey’, this survey focuses on how companies perceive risk technology. The top 10 benefits of technology include ease of access to data from one location; data consolidation and management; total cost of risk reduction/management; accuracy and reliability of data and many others.

“Compliance is a relatively new topic in the risk management industry, and as more companies explore cloud offerings to store and report on their organizational data, compliance may well make an appearance in the top ten in our next survey," says Kathy Burns, CEO of Aon eSolutions. “Companies are actively tracking the ROI for risk technology investments. This indicates the technology is becoming critical in the way organizations do business and is seen as an added value in reducing TCOR.”

To help companies manage their risk technology needs, Aon eSolutions offers products such as RiskConsole, which is a browser-based risk information technology.  More than 190,000 users make use of this technology in over 40 countries, and the product offers an integrated enterprise-wide view of the client’s risk exposure and also provides critical risk management intelligence.

Recently, the company appointed Ronald Young to senior vice president of global product management. Young has worked as vice president of product and market strategy for Open Solutions, a financial services software provider. Before working there, he was vice president of product management at S1 Corporation, general manager of global insurance solutions at Siebel Systems (News - Alert) and division manager of property and casualty systems at Nationwide Insurance Enterprise.
