BoxTone Releases Enhancements to its BoxTone 6.0 MSM Platform



BoxTone (News - Alert), a provider of solutions to maintain optimal mobile performance and security while striving for the lowest cost and risk, announced that it has released new enhancements to its BoxTone 6.0 Mobile Service Management (MSM) Platform.

The new upgrades to the platform include a real-time compliance engine with automated workflow, and are intended to equip it with the ability to monitor and automatically neutralize threats originating from mobile users and devices that deliberately or accidentally miss compliance with enterprise mobile security policies.

According to BoxTone, its MSM software enables mobile IT operations, IT support and business management to manage, monitor and support the end-to-end mobile lifecycle of corporate-owned or employee-owned mobile devices from a single unified mobile management console.

Officials with the company explained that enterprise mobility cannot be managed with the 'set it and forget it' philosophy of traditional MDM vendors. If this was the case, they say, enterprise mobility would open up a 'Pandora's (News - Alert) Box' of huge financial and regulatory risks to the overall business. For customers want continuous enforcement of enterprise policies and compliance in real-time throughout the full mobile lifecycle, BoxTone 6 proactively delivers these capabilities for both enterprise-connected smartphones and tablets allowing businesses to quickly realize the benefits of being fully mobilized at the lowest risk, officials claim.

The newly included compliance engine is integrated with capabilities such as: Real-Time Compliance Monitoring – continuous collection and analysis of information across the end-to-end mobile service which in turn provides a complete, real-time view and automated enforcement of mobile compliance; Real-Time Compliance Enforcement – capable of identifying enterprise security policy changes and compliance violence and automatically enforcing rules-based actions to safeguard the user and the enterprise; Real-Time Compliance Alert – all enforcement actions are automatically notified and the notifications include details on changes, violations, actions, and recommendations to all relevant stakeholders in operations, security and service desk teams; Compliance Auditing and Reporting – a comprehensive audit trail of compliance information to satisfy legal, corporate and regulatory auditing requirements; and Enhanced Service Desk Support – automates support across a range of mobile devices, applications and platforms.

The new capabilities blended with BoxTone's Security Management module enable IT teams to scale mobility support across the entire organization without exposing the business to greater security risks, and at the lowest possible cost to support.
