VCC is a leading construction firm known for its large scale retail work, renovations and expansion projects. IBM iEnterprises’ Mobile CRM application called Mobile Edge (News - Alert) is enabling VCC’s workforce to have access to all the critical information useful for new building project bids and field support. Field-based project managers equipped with smartphones can now leverage company proposals, project databases, industry trends data, best practices and sales contacts to respond instantly to new opportunities, thus ensuring business growth.
VCC has efficiently collaborated on new construction projects bids using the new customer relationship and wireless management application from IBM (News - Alert) business partner iEnterprises. To adapt to the massive growth of mobile computing and to meet the growing demands of the mobile workforce, companies are leveraging mobile solutions to work smarter by providing portable access to key information and “intelligence” that helps make informed decisions while on the go.
With the continued business expansion, VCC realized that sales leads, contacts, proposal databases and other vital information stored in its customer relationship management (CRM) systems was not available to travelling or on-site project managers. Additionally, the CRM did now allow easy sharing of information. To resolve these issues, VCC chose to implement IBM’s iExtension CRM system that will help synchronize the company's existing Lotus Domino platform with its sales, marketing, executive and customer service teams; thus delivering greater analytics capabilities and improved productivity.
Using Mobile Edge CRM application’s ability to quickly retrieve and utilize client information, VCC achieved almost a 40 percent increase in new clients from last year and an average saving of 400 employee hours per month. The new CRM system automatically alerts VCC with trends and proactively updates sales representatives without being prompted. It also helped VCC identify new leads and instantly pull information, supporting proposal requests and quotes. iExtensions CRM makes use of analytics from previously captured business opportunities entered in real-time via the Blackberry to automatically predict and tag (News - Alert) similar opportunities within the database as high priorities.
Wayne Alley, vice president of VCC, said, “Using wireless technologies, we can capture and tap all our information wherever we happen to be, improving the way we work and the speed and effectiveness in which we service customers, collaborate, communicate, and close new business.”
