Paychex Intros New SaaS Platform

Paychex, a provider of payroll and human resource outsourcing solutions for small to medium-sized businesses, is now using next generation technology to help HR administrators and end-users work smarter. The company has introduced a new software-as-a-service (SaaS (News - Alert)) platform that has been designed with end-user productivity in mind.

The cloud-based offering ensures that all Paychex services can be accessed from a single location. Because data is centralized, updated records and entries in one application show up in other applications also. Self-service is the focus, and users can customize their desktop and create custom workflows to suit their needs.

The new offering aims to deliver a user interface based on consistency, simplicity, and intelligence to drive increased user productivity.

“By doing this, we're able to drive the latest features and functionality to a broader range of clients, and give them the options they want today, with the foundation for the options they'll need tomorrow,” said Michael Gioja, senior vice president of information technology, product management at Paychex.

The platform looks to make the user experience more intuitive by anticipating the information the user needs based on the kind of task being performed.

In conjunction with Paychex Mobile for smartphones and Paychex Online for tablets, the new platform allows users to review, enter, submit and edit data across devices and pick up from where they left off.

In addition, the Report Center acts as a one-stop shop for more than 140 standard, customizable, and exportable reports for businesses and their accounting partners.

“We're combining our most intuitive user experience that offers integration across product lines on one interface, with broader reporting and analysis capabilities for all client data to give our clients greater control and increased personal productivity,” added Gioja.
