Air Seychelles Hopes to Manage Important Financial Processes with Accelya Kale

Accelya Kale Solutions Limited, a solutions provider to the airline and travel industry, reported that Accelya Kale’s financial solutions have been deployed by Air Seychelles to handle important financial processes.

Passenger Revenue Accounting, Cargo Revenue Accounting, Airmail Revenue Accounting and Miscellaneous (Non-Transport) Billing are the integrated financial solutions that Accelya Kale delivers and it also takes complete responsibility for the quality and timeliness of revenue accounting and miscellaneous billing data, according to customer-defined service level agreements.

REVERA Revenue Accounting is Accelya’s suite of solutions that streamline and simplify revenue accounting across passenger, cargo, proration and interline revenue accounting.

For passenger revenue accounting, customers can use the REVERA PRA platform which is also designed to minimize error and maximize productivity through its high levels of automation. The REVERA CRA is stated to be a comprehensive cargo and mail revenue accounting solution. An airline can deploy the solution in a multi-host environment to realize significant cost savings. The REVERA Airmail simplifies and streamlines airline mail revenue accounting and it features a comprehensive pricing engine that helps airlines manage complex contract rates with their customers.

It is estimated that non-transport or miscellaneous billing accounts for 8 to 10 percent of airline revenues for network carriers and FinesseMBS is a SIS (Simplified Interline Settlement)-compliant solution that streamlines miscellaneous receivables and payables. The solution brings down manual work, increases invoice speed, minimizes errors and prevents non-transport revenue leakage.

By leveraging the features of Accelya Kale, Air Seychelles will be have better control and monitoring capabilities via the process standardization across group airlines, stop revenue leakage across passenger, cargo, airmail and miscellaneous billing processes, and at the same time easily attain industry compliance including IATA’s SIS.

Shelley Cole, chief financial officer at Air Seychelles, commented, “Etihad Airways has seen outsourcing benefits from their engagement with Accelya Kale. Therefore, we decided to extend the relationship to include Air Seychelles. This has enabled us to standardize our processes across the group airlines, resulting in better monitoring and control.”
