ForeScout Technologies, Inc., a company serving Fortune 1000 enterprises and government organizations, has appointed Christopher (Criss) Harms as new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Headquartered in Cupertino, California, ForeScout Technologies, a provider of real-time network security control solutions to organizations around the world, says that its solutions can accelerate productivity and connectivity by enabling people to access corporate network resources where, how and when needed without compromising security.

The company has now hired Harms, who holds an MBA from Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley and a B.S. from UC Berkeley and CPA from Ernst & Young in San Francisco.

Harms brings in more than 20 years of experience in financial and operational management experience in technology companies by building teams, raising capital and executing M&A transactions.

Previous to ForeScout, Harms was part of Socialware as CFO and previous to this posting Harms was the CFO of PSS Systems, acquired by IBM (News - Alert) in 2011, of Transitive Corporation, acquired by IBM in 2008, and of Counterpane, an information security services firm acquired by British Telecom in 2006.

Prior to that, he was the director of finance and controller for several prosperous venture-funded technology companies, including Sentient Networks, a networking manufacturer acquired by Cisco Systems (News - Alert) and Apptitude (acquired by Hi/fn).
