CareerBuilder is helping employers capture job candidates on mobile devices by launching new mobile features.
The popularity of mobile devices in increasing every day and this has made employers wary about losing out on top talent who prefer mobile-friendly applications.
CareerBuilder recognizes that employers should offer mobile apply options for jobs and has thus enhanced its mobile apply process for all U.S. clients. To emphasize its point, the company notes comScore (News - Alert) data that indicates that six million people searched for jobs via mobile in January 2013.
Google's data also shows that in November 2012, 31 percent of searches for "jobs" came from mobile devices. About one-third of CareerBuilder.com's traffic comes from mobile devices each month and a review of its website shows that 40 percent of mobile candidates will drop off if they come across a non-mobile friendly apply process.
“While mobile job search is increasing exponentially, the adoption rate for mobile recruitment has lagged significantly," said Hope Gurion, chief development officer at CareerBuilder. “Job seekers often encounter mobile applications that are five, 10 or 15 pages long – or no mobile option at all.”
Many benefits are enjoyed by companies that have mobile-optimized career sites. A mobile-friendly website allows users to apply to jobs using their mobile phone.
The improved website from CareerBuilder allows users to sign in instantly and thus they don’t have to submit their information whenever they want to search jobs.
Users can also instantly apply with a resume that is already saved in the CareerBuilder database.
Online career site, CareerBuilder.com helps companies target and attract people. The company was in news last month when it launched big data analytics to help employers to assess where they stack up against talent competitors.
