Dove House Hospice Upgrades to Pegasus Opera 3

Dove House Hospice has chosen Pegasus’ Opera 3 as its latest financial software, thereby enhancing reporting and budgeting. Dove House Hospice offers care for people with life restrictive complaints mainly in the Hull and East Riding areas. The charity organization has a minimum of 200 employees who operate from 33 shops along with the primary hospice unit. The registered organization has an annual running expense of nearly $8.77 million, out of which only enough funds for 48 days are funded by general public. The hospice therefore has to ensure the expenses do not overshoot the budgets.

For more than 13 years, Dove House was utilizing Pegasus Opera II for reporting and budgeting. Opera 3’s improved reporting has been the main reason for upgrading to the latest version. Dove House will now be able to easily export data into easy to comprehend spreadsheets using Opera 3's XRL application. The current lengthy intricate matrix reports which were difficult to manipulate and review will also be eliminated.

In a statement, Michelle Webster, Finance Manager, Dove House Hospice said, "As a charity, every aspect of our operation has to remain well within budget. Opera 3 has not only reduced the time it takes to produce management reports, but analyzing the information is easier than before. Comparing figures in the new excel format is straightforward and any anomalies or discrepancies are easy to spot and address. In my experience, Opera 3 is more detailed and has greater functionality than other similar products on the market. Additionally, the software has a straightforward look and feel which in turn simplifies account management processes and reduces the impact of error as any incorrect entries can be easily amended."

Each and every facet of operations at Dove House like purchase ledger, cashbook administration and payroll is supported by Opera 3. Dove House moved from Opera II to Opera 3 in just three hours. The upgrade was supervised by Genesis Business Systems, associate of Pegasus.
