2nd Watch Inc., a system integrator, software and deployment firm focused on IT operations, recently raised $4.2 million in a financing round led by Madrona Venture Group. The amount will be used to expand the company’s operations.

The solutions from 2nd Watch allow mid-size and enterprise companies to operate in the cloud more efficiently, decrease risk and increase profitability. The company provides solutions that are built to fit client’s business needs and innovative implementations of those solutions to bring profitable results for the business.

The combination of Professional Services centered on IT operations and Cloud Products makes new cloud technologies usable, allowing companies to operationalize their business. 2nd Watch has been designated an Amazon Web Services (News - Alert) Premier Consulting Partner and Microsoft Cloud Champion and Cloud Accelerate partner.

As part of the funding, McIlwain has joined the 2nd Watch board of directors.

2nd Watch also recently announced general availability of the enterprise version of its cloud management software, 2W Insight, which allows Amazon Web Services (AWS) customers and solution providers the tools to easily manage billing and consolidated billing environments through the Insight Dashboard.
