SoftLayer's Catalyst to be Available for European Startups

SoftLayer (News - Alert) Technologies has announced that the company has entered into an agreement with Seedcamp, one of Europe’s early-stage micro seed investment fund and mentoring program to enhance its support for budding entrepreneurs in Europe.

Europe’s most promising start-ups can now make use of Catalyst, SoftLayer’s next generation technology incubator to get the financial support, advanced infrastructure backing and executive mentorship they need to succeed in the business.

Catalyst is core to the company’s mission to allow next generation technologies and enable the entrepreneurs that will introduce them to market. According to the company, it takes more than hard work and determination to transform ideas into an enterprise. To start a company and equip it for success and growth, companies will need tangible resources. So Catalyst offers free infrastructure and support necessary for building a startup’s vision,

This is said to be among the most important and considerable start-up initiatives for the European market with over 400 mentors.

“As a former start-up ourselves, we know it takes more than hard work and determination to transform an idea or vision into a viable business”, comments Paul Ford, SoftLayer VP of Community Development. “Our Catalyst program equips the next generation of web savvy entrepreneurs with free infrastructure and support critical for growth and success, especially in the early stages. That includes best-in-class dedicated, cloud and hybrid hosting, cutting edge infrastructure help and advice, dedicated mentorship from SoftLayer’s Innovation Team and executives.”

Recently, the company introduced its new SoftLayer Private Clouds solution.
