Provider of multicarrier wireless mobility management solutions, Vision Wireless, recently announced that it has entered into an agreement with Sprint (News - Alert), providing Vision's Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) solution to business customers using Sprint's Professional Mobility Services suite.

“Vision’s unique BYOD solution enables organizations to cost-effectively and securely extend the benefits of mobility beyond the scope of existing corporate-liable programs to include additional employees connecting with personally owned devices,” said Kevin Steffes, president and CEO of Vision, in a statement.

Vision's BYOD solution is meant to directly address the business challenges typically presented by BYOD, according to Rick Gumbleton, vice president of sales at Vision. As such, both Vision and Sprint will assist customers in deploying and managing BYOD programs, while decreasing business risks and reducing the administrative burden BYOD can place on internal IT resources. This is accomplished by way of access to BYOD Help Desk Services, which offers efficient resolution to issues related to BYOD adoption.

Able to manage, track and support all aspects of enterprise-grade BYOD programs, Vision's solution features configurable BYOD registration portals, BYOD policy dissemination and acceptance, configurable BYOD approval workflow, mobile device management and security, and much more. Most significantly, however, is the fact that Vision's BYOD solution is delivered using a managed-services model.

“This unique approach simplifies the complexities of deploying BYOD and frees corporate resources to focus on the core business, while providing a cross-carrier, device agnostic solution that results in lower risk and improved cost of ownership,” said Jennifer Warren, Vision’s vice president of Business Development.

This isn't the first time Vision and Sprint have partnered up to deliver a product. Back in October of 2011, the two companies announced a partnership in which Sprint would offer Vision's WMM/TEM solutions to general business, enterprise and public sector customers under Sprint's Mobility Management Service.

WMM/TEM solutions include eProcurement, Asset/Inventory Management, Specialized Deployment, Change Management Support, Tier-1 End User Wireless Help Desk, Billing Analysis/Reporting and Telecom Expense Management.
