Capture checks from Bluepoint Solutions is the first Check 21-enabled teller capture platform developed for financial institutions.  By eliminating transportation and physical check storage expenses, the product reduces operational expenses. It also automatically performs Image Quality Analysis (IQA) and replaces physical check endorsement with virtual endorsement. 

Recently, the company partnered with Kernersville, N.C.-based Advanced Fraud Solutions (AFS) to automate the identification of counterfeit checks by combining its ImagePoint Teller with the AFS TrueChecksâ solution. AFS offers fraud detection and prevention software to the financial industry with the help of a suite of card and check related products.

Tellers will immediately be notified if checks deposited are flagged as potentially counterfeit when scanning deposits with the help of ImagePoint Teller. Tellers then can safeguard the depositor and institution from the risk of counterfeit checks. The database of counterfeit checks is created and maintained by Advanced Fraud Solutions. Earlier, tellers had to manually enter a check’s routing and account numbers into a web-based portal to run the counterfeit screening, the company stated in a statement.

Andrew Tilbury, chief marketing officer of Bluepoint Solutions, said in a company press release, “The added value of being able to combat counterfeit checks in real-time gives financial institutions using ImagePoint Teller the ability to significantly reduce check losses. We are pleased to offer the ability for our customers to access the TrueChecks service without altering their teller workflow.”

Recently, the company partnered with Open Solutions Inc. , a provider of collaborative enterprise technology to community-based financial institutions all over the world, to expand its partnership to provide Open Solutions' DNA-tMagic clients a robust teller transaction archive and reporting application.
