WorldPay Certifies Encore C2C Routers for ATM Transactions

WorldPay US, Inc. has certified Encore’s line of C2C routers for wireless ATM transactions. Encore provides machine-to-machine (M2M) solutions for fixed and wireless communications.

Encore Networks (News - Alert) develop environmentally and electrical immunity hardened routers that deliver internet protocol, SSL, VPN, firewall, Ethernet switching and legacy protocol to IP interworking with an embedded cellular modem in a single box solution.

“Certifying Encore’s C2C further enhances the suite of best-in-class tools available to our ATM ISO partners,” said Michael Cowart, WorldPay vice president of ATM and ISO. “The additional security the C2C provides ATMs using dial and IP users is something we believe will add tremendous value.”

The C2C router was reportedly approved for global wireless transactions on the WorldPay processing platform after stringent product compatibility testing procedures.

WorldPay ATM clients can benefit from the C2C routers. Encore Networks plans to showcase its C2C line of wireless and wireline routers at the 2012 WorldPay ATM Distributor Conference, scheduled to be held September 18 - 20, 2012 in Atlanta, Georgia.

The CTC routers serve as an embedded, cellular replacement for Plain Old Telephone services (POT) lines. They are available in both industrially hardened and commercial grade models and serve optimally when migrating Legacy ATMs to advanced IP over cellular. The C2C optimizes existing ATMs with 3G capabilities by converting dial-up ATMs to IP-based cellular services. This helps boost throughput, reliability and speed.

The C2C is flexible and supports both AC and DC power. It can also provide loss of site power notifications when equipped with the Power Failure Alert feature.

“We were pleased when we received the final test results for our C2C. WorldPay’s first class Quality Assurance test environment puts products through rigorous tests resulting in certification for only the best,” said Scott Harper, vice president of Product Management for Encore Networks.

The company’s BANDIT Family of routers is most suitable for banking, Point of Sale (POS), ATM, M2M, SCADA, Smart Grid, AMR/AMI telemedicine, oil and gas, industrial plant floors, security, elevator, railroad, transportation, and mass transit infrastructures applications.

Encore Networks announced that Galaxy Broadband Communications, Inc. has selected its Bandit line of industrially hardened routers for its satellite networks, systems and solutions throughout North America.
