Avalara recently announced that QAD Inc. has joined its network of certified solution partners. As a solution partner in Avalara’s network, QAD has effectively merged the SaaS (News

In a release, Scott McFarlane, Avalara founder and CEO, said, “As manufacturers know, having a repeatable, consistent process enables greater quality control – and quality control helps ensure compliance. Tracking thousands of SKU numbers that cross taxability rules or vary in taxability based on state can be complex. Avalara’s automated sales tax solution helps QAD users simply this complexity and reduce audit risk by keeping them up-to-date with the latest changes in sales and use tax information online, on location, or on the go.”
Founded in 1979, QAD Inc is a enterprise business software and services provider serving a host of manufacturing clients across the globe. The company's products are currently used by more than 5,500 manufacturers in 90 countries.
Gordon Fleming, QAD chief marketing officer, said, “We continue to focus on helping our clients manage their businesses more efficiently. Our partnership with Avalara will allow us to deliver sales tax compliance software to our customers that conduct business in North America – regardless of size or deployment – on demand and on premise. The QAD AvaTax Connector is a full function, easy to manage gateway to Avalara’s AvaTax suite of services.”
During the last ten years, Avalara has positioned itself as a leading provider of service-based platform for tax automation and is currently considered a key player within this market. The company has in particular been focussing on automating financial, ecommerce, POS and mobility applications for SMB customers.
