The judges panel of the 5th annual Datacenter Awards, which took place in London on June 13^th, recently announced that the panel has received a record number of submissions from companies across Europe.

Under such competition, Frankfurt-based, ancotel (News - Alert) GmbH announced that it had been honored as the best Data Center Change and Innovation Company. BroadGroup, a global consulting practice that focuses on market, financial and investment analysis for data centers, carrier wholesale strategy, IT Infrastructure and TMT finance and investment, organized the Data Center awards, dubbed the "Oscars" of the data center industry.

An independent panel of expert judges representing the UK, Netherlands, France, and Germany reviewed all the submissions for this year's awards. Also, for the first time BroadGroup extended the Data Center award categories to include cloud infrastructure services, the company stated in a press release.

Recently, AboveNet opted for Ancotel's Frankfurt, Germany data center for its European expansion.
