Ancotel Receives Datacenter Award

The judges panel of the 5th annual Datacenter Awards, which took place in London on June 13th, recently announced that the panel has received a record number of submissions from companies across Europe.

Under such competition, Frankfurt-based, ancotel (News - Alert) GmbH announced that it had been honored as the best Data Center Change and Innovation Company. BroadGroup, a global consulting practice that focuses on market, financial and investment analysis for data centers, carrier wholesale strategy, IT Infrastructure and TMT finance and investment, organized the Data Center awards, dubbed the "Oscars" of the data center industry.

An independent panel of expert judges representing the UK, Netherlands, France, and Germany reviewed all the submissions for this year's awards. Also, for the first time BroadGroup extended the Data Center award categories to include cloud infrastructure services, the company stated in a press release.

“As the winner of the 2012 Data Center Change and Innovation award, ancotel is proud to be recognized for its winning combination of colocation and interconnection services housed within our Kleyer90 flagship facility in Frankfurt," comments Frank Orlowski, vice president, ancotel GmbH." As a leading colocation and interconnection company in Europe, we continue to innovate new products and solutions including the vmmr Ethernet platform which provides interconnection of both traditional Ethernet and new Carrier Ethernet networks.”

Recently, AboveNet opted for Ancotel's Frankfurt, Germany data center for its European expansion. About 75 percent of the traffic in and out of Ancotel's Frankfurt data center is routed to places outside of Germany. Interconnection facility, Frankfurt continues to be a key hub for carriers, service providers, cloud solution companies and enterprises to expand their networks and businesses globally with the combination of Germany's strict data protection laws, its open regulatory environment and Kleyer90.
