By adhering to Workday’s multitenant SaaS delivery model, CEC Entertainment hopes to increase overall efficiency and productivity. Since Workday focuses on the latest application and technology improvements, IT costs are cut dramatically. Workday also incorporates mobile solutions in its model, and has developed apps for the iOS and the smartphones so that the workforce doesn’t suffer in communication.
On the financial side of things, Workday has developed work tags, which let managers track transactional data and analyze it across dimensions. It has also simplified the chart of accounts, cutting administer costs.
The Workday solution is also extremely employee-friendly and brings to the table, configurable self-service capabilities. Employees can also easily update their own information and there is also an employee self-service for online payslips and year-end tax statements, manager self-service for analyzing pay results, and automatic tax updates via Workday's SaaS delivery model.
“By selecting Workday, our company was able to leapfrog yesterday's on-premise technologies with a system that will support our business now and in the future," said Tiffany Kice, executive vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer at CEC Entertainment.
