Actuate and CoreMatrix Deliver Business Intelligence in Cloud



A strategic alliance with CoreMatrix Systems has been announced by Actuate (News - Alert) Corporation. Business Intelligence, or BI, will be delivered to the cloud through this alliance. The top open source BI vendor, Actuate Corporation is responsible for development of BIRT. CoreMatrix Systems is the top cloud computing consulting company. The organization is also a premier implementation partner of Salesforce.com (News - Alert).

A BIRT-based application integrated with Salesforce.com will be developed by CoreMatrix and Actuate as part of the alliance. Interactive dashboards and real-time reporting in the cloud will be presented to Salesforce.com end users by this application. Analysis for sales, pipeline, account and user data will be also provided in the cloud to the end-users.

In a release, Ernie Megazzini who is the VP of Cloud Strategy at CoreMatrix (News - Alert) said, "As a premier partner of Salesforce.com we are highly selective when deciding which companies to align ourselves with. We recognized early on that Actuate's BIRT-based applications for BI and rich visualizations are the clear industry leaders, which made our decision an easy one."

According to Megazzini, rich, interactive visualizationsare provided by Actuate and BIRT. The value of BI and the proliferation of the Eclipse development environment can be therefore harnessed by companies to better manage their enterprises. Megazzini added that the company looks forward to deliver best-of-breed BI solutions for Salesforce.com data through this collaboration.
