Looking to extend the Savtira store-fronts to a range of devices and operating systems, Savtira Corporation has selected Oakwood Systems Group, Inc. as its prime contractor for multi-platform client-side development, the company has announced.
Using e-commerce to sell everything from downloadable entertainment programs to consumer electronics, Savtira’s Software-as-a-Service Cloud Commerce solution offers digital and physical goods. Making sure no two eStores are alike, Savtira eStores are branded and custom-tailored for Savtira clients. All Savtira clients also have the option to distribute millions of digital titles and thousands of physical goods from the Savtira catalog to their customers from their own branded eStore. Streaming all digital media from the cloud to any device, the platform also includes Savtira’s carrier-class “Entertainment Distribution Network” (EDN).
“It is exciting to work with such a talented group of fellow St. Louisans and Internet pioneers. We are turning the world as we know it upside-down by creating a next generation cable system, which untethers consumers and businesses from the wire and gives them access to their TV, movies, DVR, and radio on the cloud from any IP connection like 3G/4G.” said Timothy Roberts, CEO of Savtira Corporation.
On a rental or subscription basis, all types of software and digital media (business applications, games, music, movies, audio/e-books) are available to consumers. Consumers have the ability to pause media on one device and resume it on another as no download or installation is necessary. All data, state and configuration is stored within the cloud, the company stated in a press release.
Recently, the company commenced a significant network infrastructure expansion via a multi-million dollar lease facility increase with strategic partner, Data Sales Co. (Data Sales). This asset-backed lease line will allow Savtira to retain a significant amount of equity while growing the business, versus using funds from venture capital or private equity. As part of this strategic alliance, Data Sales has acquired an equity interest in Savtira.
