KPMG Acquires EquaTerra For Enhancing Global Outsourcing Advisory Services



KPMG LLP (US), KPMG Holdings Limited (UK) and KPMG International have jointly announced the closing of the contract for the business acquisition of the advisory firm EquaTerra, for providing the most widespread global sourcing advisory offerings across Asia Pacific, Europe and the Americas.

In a release, Timothy P. Flynn, chairman of KPMG International, said that “EquaTerra (News - Alert) is an ideal fit for KPMG and we look forward to welcoming the EquaTerra team to the KPMG network family. Through this acquisition, clients of KPMG member firms will benefit from the addition of a market-leading sourcing adviser to help them transform their organizations into more flexible enterprises in a way that meets today's complex market demands.”

The new joint partnership integrating the two premier global sourcing organizations in the world complements the expansion tactic followed by KPMG network in streamlining the business focus towards organic as well as inorganic opportunities in certain preferred market sectors. The professional expertise of EquaTerra when integrated with the deep market presence and objective shared services and outsourcing advisory team of KPMG network would provide its clients with a full-cycle of capabilities at reduced costs and enhanced efficiency as well as effectiveness.
