Vanco Website Targets Municipalities for Payment Processing

The financial services firm Vanco Services, LLC recently launched its new website designed exclusively for municipalities.

In addition to a variety of taxes, municipalities need to process other payments that range from traffic fines to utility bills. Today’s consumers want a variety of payment options and the government needs to be capable of processing those payments in a secure and efficient manner.

In a press release, this provider of electronic payment solutions explained that the new website—VancoSolutions.com—is dedicated to helping municipalities introduce new payment options. The website will also help the municipalities manage the growing number of online banking payments that, are often converted into paper checks and require extensive manual processing.

Vanco (News - Alert), which is a Payment Card Industry (PCI) Level 1 Compliant Service Provider, well understands the need for municipalities to mitigate back office risk. This according to Vanco, encouraged the company to come up with Web-based solutions under the e.service brand to offer financial best practices.

In the release, Vnaco explained that the new website offers the following capabilities to the municipalities:

--Receive bank-issued checks electronically
--Accept payments online
--Automate recurring payments
--Take payments over the phone
--Accept payments via text message
--Process in-person payments

“We examined the way cities were handling payments for utilities, taxes, permits and other common fees. What we found was a lot of inefficient, error-prone, manual processing, so we made it our goal to develop a set of cost-effective electronic payment solutions suitable for any municipality,” CEO of Vanco Services Jeanne Spencer Rose commented in a statement.

In November last year, Vanco Services introduced a new service that gives clients the ability to accept payments or donations sent by text message. The service allows the individuals to text payments anytime, anywhere using any mobile phone.
