Orion Advisor Services has launched Orion Mobile App at Android and Apple (News - Alert) stores, thereby reflecting the company’s mission to provide advisors with the most comprehensive back office solutions available.

"The Orion Mobile App showcases our commitment to empowering advisors through technological innovation," said Eric Clarke, president of Orion Advisor Services, LLC, in a statement.  

Officials with Orion Advisor Services said that the Orion Mobile App enables the mobile tracking of account values, performance, market commentary and includes a full reporting suite.

Company oifficials pointed out that to view accounts, an advisor and their clients will download the App that Orion creates specifically under the branding of their advisory firm.

Clarke said that Orion provides comprehensive, customizable and scalable back office solutions.

“Our new Mobile App works across a variety of smart phone platforms, allowing advisors and their clients to gain easy access to their accounts," said Clarke.

He said that as the number of smartphone users dramatically increases, the company felt that it was vital for the advisors to be in a position to support their clients' ability to stay in touch with their advisor and monitor their portfolio in the method that works best for them.

Back in December, Orion Advisor Services announced a new release for its Advisor Desktop, a powerful portfolio management suite designed for RIAs as a primary database management tool.

The latest release includes an upgrade that allows advisors to incorporate video market commentary on their client's statements. Clients will be able to scan their iPhone, Droid or other mobile device over the scan tag (News - Alert) on the statement and automatically launch the video.
