Quantum (News - Alert) Group, a producer of custom fabrics used in various commercial and industrial applications, has announced that it has selected Acumatica’s ERP platform to better manage its complex corporate structure comprising seven companies in three different locations.

The company officials said that they needed an ERP platform that would enable them to access information from any location without the expense and challenge of installing and maintaining client software.

“After seven years of using the NetSuite (News - Alert) platform and needing more control and flexibility for our expanding business, we made a final assessment and decided to make the switch to Acumatica,” said Barbara Page, Controller at Quantum Group. “The process of moving our data to the new Acumatica system was straightforward – in just 30 days we were up and running!”

Quantum Group officials said that they were previously using NetSuite’s web-based platform to manage their financials, but it didn’t provide the control they needed over their costs, support, or user licensing. The manufacturer had to limit the number of users to keep costs down. Additionally, it was difficult to get questions answered by NetSuite’s customer support team.

The new deployment in helping Quantum to benefits from built-in disaster recovery features without worrying about managing operating systems, hardware, and other datacenter complexities.

Acumatica's enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform claims to deliver advanced functionality that can be easily customized to meet individual business process and reporting needs. All its applications are designed for the web, which means that users with appropriate privileges to access the system from any computer or device using all common web browsers.

“We're pleased to add Quantum to the roster of enterprises that have selected our platform to enhance their business processes,” said Ezequiel Steiner, Acumatica’s CEO.

Steiner said that from now Quantum can automate its operation by quickly adding multiple users without having to install and lock in to client software or pay additional license fees.
