MokiMobility Teams with Revel to Power Integrated Solution

Can we escape the stampede that mobile devices are causing in the market? It is next to impossible, because today mobility is the norm that dictates how businesses and customers connect with each other now and how they will connect tomorrow. In turn, this means that mobility management and PCI (News - Alert) compliance become more important than ever before.

And, that’s exactly what the partnership between MokiMobility, a Utah start-up that provides a cloud-based platform for managing, monitoring and securing tablets and mobile point-of-sale solutions,  and Revel Systems, which offers a feature rich iPad point of sale app, focused on.

As part of this relationship, Revel Systems will reportedly integrate the MokiManage platform into its iPad point-of-sale solution, allowing end-users to have access to comprehensive monitoring, management and security capabilities across all Revel iPad point-of-sale deployments.

Scaling iPad deployments and securing each device to securely process payments was a top priority for Revel, and MokiMobility’s capabilities perfectly fit the bill.

Independent software vendors and solution providers can integrate the management and monitoring features of MokiManage directly into their own tablet solutions running on the iPad, iPod Touch and Android (News - Alert) devices, giving customers greater control over the complete experience.

The integrated solution is stated to be the first and only mobile and iPad point-of-sale solution to meet the PCI Security Standards Council's newest set of mobile point-of-sale security guidelines, which was released back in February of this year.

"With these new guidelines it's important to consider how developers, merchants and solutions providers need to look at the environment as a whole, not just the mobile point-of-sale app itself," said Tom Karren, CEO of MokiMobility.

Karren also noted the importance of providing a true management, monitoring and security solution that allowed users to go beyond the scope of just the app.

In other recent company news, MokiMobility has raised $2 million in seed funding, money that will be used to expand the capabilities found in the MokiMobility platform.
