iSYS to Provide Telecom Expense Management Services to National Science Foundation

The National Science Foundation (NSF) has selected the Telecom Expense Management Services (TEMS) from iSYS, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of WidePoint Corporation.

iSYS expanded its Telecommunication Expense Management (TEM) services in May 2007, as the company acquired Intelecel, LLC and its proprietary Intelligent Telecommunications Management System (ITMS).

Along with two one-year option periods, the contract with NSF has a base period of one year. The contract is worth up to $211 thousand, consisting of all option periods.

According to the agreement, iSYS will offer a complete and customized TEMS solution to the NSF through the General Services Administration's (GSA (News - Alert)) Federal Strategic Sourcing Initiative (FSSI) TEMS Contract.

The NSF TEMS program will consist of the complete lifecycle management of NSF's wireless telecommunications assets.

iSYS is a provider of Telecom Expense Management (TEM) services to the U.S. Federal Government. The company looks after more wireless devices for more federal clients than any other TEM provider.

iSYS has produced more than $120 million in realized telecom cost savings for its government clients.

“iSYS is honored to be selected by the National Science Foundation to provide TEMS," said Jin Kang, president of iSYS. "We look forward to working with the NSF to maximize its mobile resources and budget."

iSYS TEM solutions combine telecom industry expertise, managed services and the company's award-winning, customizable Web-based portal – called ITMS for "Intelligent Telecommunication Management System" – to drive efficiency and cost reduction.

ITMS is recognized for meeting the U.S. Department of Defense's Gold Disk Standard for Data Security.”

Recently, the company announced that it will provide mobile telecom expense management services (TEMS) to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). The company also entered into an agreement for a second option period contract with WidePoint, worth approximately $11.6 million in the coming 12 months.

If all options are exercised, this option award brings the total contract value to approximately $33 million.
