TRX's New App Makes Business On the Go More Manageable for Travelers

Automating travel and expense management improves visibility, enhances control, increases compliance to corporate policies, reduces fraud, and ultimately drives significant reductions in expenditures within the cost category in most organizations.

TRX specializes in travel data and technology. The company’s TRUEXPENSE is an easy-to-use, Web-based solution that automates the entire expense management process, reduces costs, eliminates manual paper processing and drives optimal visibility and control.

Recently, TRX revealed a new iPhone and Android (News - Alert) mobile application for users of the company's expense solution, TRUEXPENSE.

TRUEXPENSE users, according to a company statement, can now easily capture expense receipt photos through the new mobile application, and the receipt image will automatically upload into the expense reporting tool, taking the step of manually e-mailing the receipt out of the process.

Receipt images can then be matched to an existing expense record in TRUEXPENSE, or the user can create a new expense report.

"Business travelers are busy. Keeping track of receipts and submitting expense reports should be quick and simple," Shane Hammond, president and chief executive officer at TRX, said in a statement.

"The new TRUEXPENSE app helps users easily capture and keep track of expense receipts. They can even submit an expense report before they've returned from their trip – all from their Smartphone. Making life easier for business travelers on the go provides additional value to clients using our products. We will continue investing in mobile solutions and other enhancements that solve challenges for businesses managing travel," Hammond added.

TRX customers can download the new TRUEXPENSE app from Apple's (News - Alert) App store and in the Google Play Marketplace.

Back in June 2012, TRX announced the acquisition of a mobile expense reporting application technology from Nexpense to be incorporated into TRUEXPENSE.
