There are several new reasons for Sprint (News
- Alert) to be part of your gifting choices this festive season. According to Kiplinger’s Personal Finance’s annual 2011 Best of Everything list, Sprint was awarded in three categories. These three distinctions are: Sprint’s unlimited data plan; its no-contract offerings that come from Boost Mobile and payLo from the stable of Virgin Mobile (News
- Alert) and finally Sprint’s provision for the exclusive Samsung Galaxy S II Epic Touch 4G Smartphone.
In a release, Bob H. Johnson, president of Sprint’s Consumer business unit, said, “We’re committed to offering what our customers value most and that includes unlimited data plans, no- contract options and a cutting-edge selection of devices. We’re extremely proud to have these offerings recognized by Kiplinger’s with multiple entries on this year’s Best of Everything list.”
Sprint’s Simply Everything Plan has been judged the best unlimited plan in the cell phone category. This seems but natural considering that Sprint is the only national service that provides unlimited data for all smartphones and that too without throttling or metering. With a price tag (News - Alert) of just $99.99 a month and an additional $10 for Premium Data on smartphones, the plan comes with limitless talk, text as well data when one is within the Sprint Network. According to Kiplinger’s, this is a plan for the “data-hungry smartphone user”. An important point noted here is that Sprint won’t slow your connection or impose usage caps.
In the prepaid category, Boost Mobile’s Monthly Unlimited Plan was given the title of best prepaid option. This is a plan without a contract and provides unlimited voice and text messages. It also gives Internet access and 411 calls for a price of just $50 to $60 a month. This is dependent on the kind of phone you have. Kiplinger’s makes a point saying that Boost’s “Shrinkage” perk brings down one’s monthly bill by $5 after six on-time payments.
