Workforce Software and EmployTouch Team up to Deliver Workforce Management Solution-Embedded Tablet-Based Device

In an effort to make labor management easier for the organizations with complex labor policies and stringent compliance demands, WorkForce Software, the leading provider of workforce management solutions, has forged a strategic alliance with EmployTouch.

The partnership allows WorkForce Software to integrate its award-winning EmpCenter suite of workforce management solutions into the TouchBase, an innovative, tablet-based solution created by EmployTouch for labor data collection, employee self-service, and collaboration. The combined offering will be offered under the brand name of EmpCenter Engage and facilitate on-premises employee self-service and data collection.

With EmpCenter Engage, the organization will get an easy-to-use, next-generation technology that would facilitate access to a powerful, flexible, Android (News - Alert) based device that places the point of data capture and time collection much closer to the point where work is being conducted.

The EmpCenter Engage is also expected to act as an employee communication platform where messages and rich media content can be shared with employees who would not typically have access to a desktop system or other similar device.

In a press release, WorkForce Software explained that EmpCenter Engage has been developed as a wall-dockable, industrial-grade tablet and software platform enabling shared computing access for all employees.

The combined solution enables the organizations to enforce labor policies through a touch-based user interface. The device boasts of a simple interface that fosters a greater sense of employee engagement.

Unlike 'traditional' touchscreen data capture devices, EmpCenter Engage supports both multi-touch gestures and the ability to deliver access to third-party applications already designed for the web or Android.

“EmployTouch was founded on the premise that, if given access to widely accepted, affordable consumer technologies, organizations could radically improve how they interact with and engage their employees. Time-clocks that merely beep at employees no longer have a place in a modern workforce. Through our unique approach to data capture -- and through our partnership with WorkForce Software -- we believe we can fundamentally change the way employers and employees interact,” co-founder and CEO of EmployTouch, Martin Hartshorne noted in a statement.

Last month WorkForce Software announced that it has experienced strong results in the first quarter of 2012, with number of new clients, increased multi-product buyers, and also a huge increase in revenue growth compared to the same quarter last year.
