Noodles & Company Deploys MuleSoft iOn to Automate HR Processes

Noodles & Company, a casual restaurant chain in the U.S., recently adopted MuleSoft iON integration-as-a-platform-service (iPaaS) along with PeopleMatter, to organize and streamline its recruitment and on-boarding processes.

Noodles & Company will utilize iApp4Hire, an integration application (iApp) offered by MuleSoft, a provider of integration platform for the cloud and enterprises, and PeopleMatter, a provider of software-as-a-service (SaaS (News - Alert)) talent management solutions, through a strategic partnership to integrate PeopleMatter with other cloud-based HR and payroll systems.

The company chose PeopleMatter partly because it can be effectively integrated into MuleSoft iON, which enables easy integration with critical HR systems, both cloud and on-premise, such as ADP, Ceridian, Workday, Paychex, and UltiPro.

Alison Meadows, HR director for Noodles & Company, said in a statement, “We like the fact that the integration is being provided by experts, rather than needing to reinvent the wheel ourselves.”

She added, “With PeopleMatter and MuleSoft iON, we are getting both the application and the integration delivered together as a seamless cloud service, letting us realize those benefits end-to-end.”

By deploying MuleSoft and PeopleMatter software, Noodles & Company can streamline its recruitment processes without bearing additional costs or the need to hire IT staff. Through this integration, employee data will be updated and synchronized immediately across multiple systems when a new candidate is hired, instead of once a day.

Timing is crucial in the casual dining industry, since hiring and training can happen on the same day that the employee is hired. Besides, the automated system removes manual errors or manual integration of batches that impact nearly 50 percent of records earlier, according to company officials.

Chris Purpura, vice president and general manager of MuleSoft iON, said, “By using the pre-packaged iApp, Noodles has automated a relatively complex business process spanning multiple SaaS and legacy systems, all without needing to deploy any software or hire a team of developers.”

In a related development, MuleSoft released three new cloud integration applications (iApps) for Zuora (News - Alert), a provider of subscription commerce and billing services.
