Online Consulting Company Selects Convergys Smart BSS Solutions

An online interactive consulting company has signed a three-year contract for Convergys’ Smart BSS Solutions.

This new client is an online business services destination, community, and marketplace where individuals can chat live with thousands of consultants in a broad range of categories such as health, technology, business, arts, and spirituality.

Officials with Convergys (News - Alert) said that said this new client is utilizing the company’s Rating and Billing Manager to handle its overall revenue management, online charging, and settlement for its wide range of B2C and B2B online services.

Company officials said that leading companies in a wide range of fields use Convergys Rating and Billing Manager for their real-time charging initiatives.

However, this contract marks the first time an online consulting firm has implemented this type of billing solution for its business, highlighting the flexibility of the solution to meet the demands of complex real-time billing across multiple industries and multiple vertical markets.

“For years, telecommunication companies have taken advantage of the extensive capabilities provided by Convergys’ Rating and Billing Manager,” said Bob Lento, president, information management, Convergys, in a statement.

Lento said that the company’s new client, however, takes the solutions to a new vertical market.

In addition, Lento commented that this is the first Internet company to benefit from such a unique solution.

“With this advanced technology, the client has the flexibility to build customer loyalty cost-effectively while capturing revenue accurately throughout its consulting services. It is also another important milestone in our growing online charging installed base,” Lento said.
