ETIS Selects Tribold as Preferred PLM Vendor

Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) is a controlled framework for managing and tracking the development, launch and in-life management of products.  It brings together people, projects, workflows, technology and data into a strategic business approach and allows the users to develop and administer products across an enterprise.

Recently, Tribold (News - Alert) was selected as the preferred Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) vendor to ETIS, the Global IT Association for Telecommunications.

The selection process was triggered by ETIS CSP (News - Alert) members facing challenges developing "simple & rich" commercial product offers while dealing with the ever increasing complexity of combining capabilities from specialized silos, legacy "TelCo" applications and new "WebCo" platforms and was undertaken by the Enterprise Architecture Working Group of ETIS.

ETIS stated in the validation process that product launches often involved various committed OSS/BSS and their different product data models and processes that were not created to co-operate for product composition.

Commenting on the selection announcement, Catherine Michel, CTO and founder of Tribold said, "ETIS CSP members live with product management challenges every day and no one is better placed to identify vendors who can meet these business and technical challenges. We are very happy with being selected as one of the preferred PLM vendors to ETIS, and are looking forward to accelerating PLM implementations with ETIS members. We would also like to thank members of the Enterprise Architecture Working Group.”

Recently, the company announced the general availability (GA) of Tribold EPM v 5.2. Key Tribold EPM new features consist of Product Modeling Capabilities Support for multidimensional classification (e.g. Geographic region, Market Unit, Channel, etc) based on standardized data patterns.
