Coupa Software (News - Alert) recently announced that Quiznos India has recently deployed the Coupa for Retail e-procurement solution to assist the company with its expansion plans. A master franchisee of Southern India, Apollo Elixirs Pvt., Ltd was responsible for introducing the popular Quiznos chain to India in 2011. The number of franchises quickly expanded, which made Apollo Elixir search for solutions to help streamline the business.
Quiznos India decided to go with the Coupa for Retail e-procurement solution because of its ability to combine the stores’ collective spend intelligence and estimate the future purchasing needs of each Quiznos location.
In a release, Mohit Mathur, CEO of Quiznos India, said, “When comparing the various e-procurement solutions, Coupa stood out among the competition. Our team was impressed with Coupa’s intuitive interface and analytics. Our employees weren’t intimidated by the system. For them, it was as easy as going to an online site and shopping. With Coupa, we have centralized spend intelligence and can anticipate future inventory needs. This is key for any new retail organization wanting to scale operations.”
Apollo Elixirs will now leverage Coupa to get a clear picture into inventory orders and costs across all stores. With this information, Mathur and his team will be able to make proper recommendations on the basis of past order volume. This will ensure that the demands are anticipated in advance, reducing the probability of exhausting the inventory and cutting down on shipping costs.
Rob Bernshteyn, CEO of Coupa, said, “We’re delighted to play a role in Quiznos’ rapid expansion into India. Coupa for Retail is a platform that not only helps our retailer customers easily centralize and reduce spend, but also delivers huge operational efficiencies, such as inventory purchasing and visibility to better manage and scale their business.”
Coupa was first deployed by Apollo Elixirs in August 2011. Impressed with the results, Coupa has now been deployed in all five new franchise locations. The company has plans to deploy Coupa in an additional 20 restaurants in India before the end of this year.
