FreshBooks' Billing Software Integrated with Autotask Management Solution

FreshBooks' SaaS (News - Alert)-based online billing and invoicing software has been integrated with Autotask’s SaaS-based IT business management solution. Chicago-based itDuzzit has developed the integration between the two solutions. An announcement in this regard has been made by Autotask Corporation.

Billing items and information can be now exported directly into FreshBooks. Products and services can also be invoiced online. The invoicing process can be therefore significantly streamlined by Autotask users. Users will also be able to accept online payment by credit card, e-checks, bank transfer or PayPal (News - Alert). The billing cycle will therefore be further shortened with the FreshBooks integration.

Autotask and FreshBooks application programming interfaces (APIs) have been used to develop the integration. Autotask invoices can be seamlessly exported to FreshBooks with this integration. Apart from automatically updating Autotask account information in FreshBooks, Autotask billing items in FreshBooks can be automatically created. FreshBooks invoice numbers in Autotask can be also automatically updated. Customers can be invoiced with this integration. Online payments can also be accepted. The integration allows creating payment notifications and reminders. An unlimited number of Autotask-to-FreshBooks customers and transactions can also be synchronized.

In a release, Len DiCostanzo, SVP of community and business development at Autotask, said, "It is mission-critical that our clients are able to choose the tools and systems they use to work with their customers and to run their businesses. That is why we continue to develop our world-class API and why we are committed to making sure Autotask is an open platform for our users."

According to DiCostanzo, requests from the joint users have resulted into this project. The FreshBooks integration is now available for Autotask clients around the world.

Sunir Shah, Chief Handshaker and Head of the Platform at FreshBooks, said, "Successful IT service companies manage their businesses with Autotask. Billing with FreshBooks allows those Autotask users to streamline their invoicing processes while making the money they deserve from their valuable time and expertise."

According to Steve Mendoza, co-founder of itDuzzit, the company has demonstrated the automation of the integration process with the Autotask FreshBooks integration. Apart from saving time and money, companies can get the most out of their cloud applications.
