Hovde Group Announces Expansion of Research Team and Internal PromotionsHovde Group, LLC ("Hovde"), a leading full service investment banking firm serving the financial services sector, announced today that it has hired industry veteran Will Curtiss as a Director in Equity Research. Mr. Curtiss will focus on research coverage of regional and community banks, primarily in the Southeast region, and will be based in Nashville, Tennessee. Mr. Curtiss joins Hovde from Piper Jaffray, where he served as Vice President and Senior Research Analyst focusing on Southeast banks. Prior to that, Mr. Curtiss worked for several years as a research analyst covering banks at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey and Sandler O'Neill + Partners, where he began his career in 2007. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Tennessee. Hovde Group also announced today two notable promotions within its Equity Research Group. Kevin Swanson, who joined the firm in 2015, has been promoted to Director, having previously served s Vice President. Mr. Swanson has been integral to the development of Hovde's Equity Research platform, including the buildout of research coverage nationwide, training of new associates, and planning and coordination of the firm's annual investor conference, in addition to his responsibilities as a research analyst covering banks in the Midwest and Western U.S. John Schneider, who joined the firm in 2017, has been promoted to Research Analyst, from Associate, and will assume coverage of certain community bank stocks in the Northeast region.
