Stephens Expands Equities Coverage with Four Senior Analyst Hires Across Key Industries

Stephens Inc., an independent financial services firm, today announced the hiring of analysts Gail Nicholson Dodds, Scott Fidel, Robert McCarthy, and Dmitry Netis to the Equity Capital Markets group. The joining managing directors bring to Stephens more than 70 years of sell-side equity research expertise and respective knowledge of the energy, healthcare, industrials and technology sectors.

Gail Nicholson Dodds, Managing Director and Senior Research Analyst, covers Exploration & Production companies for Stephens alongside energy analysts Tommy Moll and Drew Lipke. Prior to Stephens, she was with the KLR Group, for six years before beginning her career in 2008 with Pritchard Capital Partners, LLC. Ms. Nicholson Dodds received a BS in Economics and a BA in International Affairs from The George Washington University. She is based in San Diego, CA (News - Alert).

Scott Fidel, Managing Director and Senior Research Analyst, joins the Healthcare Group with a focus on managed care and hospitals. Mr. Fidel has covered the Health Care Services sector for more than 18 years and received distinctions from Thomas Reuters (News - Alert) and Institutional Investorfor his research acumen. Recently, he was a director and senior research analyst at Credit Suisse Securities. He held a similar role at Deutsche Bank Securities from 2006 - 2015, and earlier was an analyst with J.P. Morgan Securities and UBS Securities. Mr. Fidel began his career as an account executive and legislative research director with Cassidy & Associates Inc. He holds a BA in History from the University of Colorado. He is based in New York, NY.

Robert McCarthy, CFA, Managing Director and Senior Research Analyst, covers the Electrical Equipment/Multi-industry sector, a critical and new sub-sector of industrials for Stephens. He joins the firm after four years at Stifel Financial where in 2017, Mr. McCarthy was recognized by Institutional Investor as a leading industry analyst. Prior to Stifel Financial, he was an analyst/portfolio manager, with UBS O'Connor LLC (a division of UBS Global Asset Management). Formerly, Mr. McCarthy held sell-side analyst roles with Banc of America Securities, CIBC World Markets, Morgan Stanley and, at the onset of his financial career in 1997, was an associate for the investment banking division of ING Baring Furman Selz LLC. He is a graduate of Dartmouth College and has a J.D. from Duke University School of Law, and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School of Business, The University of Pennsylvania. He is based in Boston, MA.

Dmitry Netis, Managing Director and Senior Analyst, covers security software, data networking and storage, communications and networking technology. Prior to Stephens, he was a senior equity research analyst at William Blair & Company, L.L.C. from 2008- 2018. There he helped found the firm's TMT research team and develop its data networking and storage sector coverage. Mr. Netis was an associate analyst with Thomas Weisel Partners, L.L.C. from 2007-2008. Earlier in his career, he was a product line manager at Conexant Systems (News - Alert), Inc. and a staff design engineer at IBM Corporation. He has a BS in Electrical Engineering with Distinction Honors from the University of Rochester, a Master of Engineering degree from Cornell University and an M.B.A. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Lally School of Management.
