Steve Wozniak to Speak on the Future of Apps and Software Development at Xamarin Evolve 2016

Xamarin, the leading enterprise mobility solution, today announced the addition of several industry leaders to its Xamarin Evolve 2016 speaker lineup, including Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple and computer industry legend.

"I see a lot of similarities between the dawn of personal computing and what's happening at this beginning of the mobile era," said Wozniak. "I'm excited to be a part of Xamarin Evolve, speaking with the developers who are leading one of the most important revolutions in human computer interaction we've ever seen."

This is Xamarin's third Evolve conference, recognized as the world's largest cross-platform mobile development event. Xamarin will host Xamarin Evolve 2016 in Orlando, Florida from April 24-28. The event features over 100 training and conference sessions to equip all audiences for mobile success, as developers deepen their technical skills and enterprise leaders learn scalable strategies for ensuring mobile success.

"Xamarin and the Evolve conference are all about delighting developers and making them successful," said Xamarin CEO and co-founder Nat Friedman. "Woz brought completely new technology and a sense of imagination into the world for millions of developers, including me. It's fitting and an honor to have this tech pioneer join us to address the pioneers in the future of mobile."

Legendary technical author Charles Petzold, whose book Programming Windows taught an entire generation of developers how to code, will present on modern app architectures. Josh Clark, renowned UX designer and author of Tapworthy: Designing Great iPhone Apps and Designing for Touch, will help attendees reimagine user experiences that are finger and thumb-based, focusing on how handheld devices demand entirely new design patterns. In addition to the general conference sessions, the invite-only Xamarin Evolve Mobile Leaders Summit will feature speakers such as Julie Ask, Vice President and Principal Analyst at Forrester Research (News - Alert) and co-author of the book The Mobile Mind Shift: Engineer Your Business to Win in the Mobile Moment.

Xamarin Evolve 2016 includes two full days of technical training from April 24-26, covering iOS, Android (News - Alert), and cross-platform mobile development best practices. It is the only conference offering in-person training by top Xamarin developers. Following the training, the conference runs from April 27-April 28 and has over 50 sessions that cover the latest in mobile development lifecycle best practices including design, development, security, integration, testing, app monitoring, and analytics.
