Affinity Health Plan Strengthens Executive Leadership Team with New Financial and Consumer Markets TalentAffinity Health Plan, a consumer-driven health plan organization with one of the largest provider networks in the Greater New York Region, today announced the recent appointments of two highly experienced leaders to its executive ranks: Steve Giasi, Chief Financial Officer, and John A. Selby, Senior Vice President, Consumer Markets. "These new additions to Affinity's leadership team show the importance we place on identifying and securing the best talent available to serve on behalf of our members," said Affinity Health Plan President & CEO, Glenn A. MacFarlane. He added, "The strategic and financial needs of managed care organizations such as ourselves are constantly evolving, and Steve and John will be instrumental as we further innovate and advance our member-focused health care system." As Affinity's Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Giasi will have responsibility for all finance operations and functions, including risk management and financial reporting. Most recently, he led the financial operations at AdvantageCare Physicians, a large 450 physician multi-specialty group in the New York metropolitan area. Mr. Giasi, a Certified Public Accountant licensed in New York State, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Brooklyn College. Mr. Selby, Senior Vice President, Consumer Markets, will be responsible for all aspects of strategic planning, revenue growth, and profit and loss management of Affinity's Medicare Advantage and Qualified Health Plan products, as well as a new Essential Plan offering being introduced in the market this fall. Selby left an executive role with Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, and he brings to Affinity extensive expertise in consumer retail markets, including product development. Mr. Selby graduated from Seton Hall University in South Orange (News - Alert), N.J.
