Mouse Names Experienced Business Leaders Byrne Doyle And Scott Kaplan To Its Board Of Directors


NEW YORK, May 27, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- MOUSE, a national youth development nonprofit that empowers students to create with technology to solve real world problems, announced today that Byrne Doyle, Territory Manager and Vice President for Best Buy Co., Inc., and Scott Kaplan, Co-Founder of Sagent Advisors Inc., have joined MOUSE's Board of Directors.

In his capacity as Territory Manager for Best Buy, Doyle has end-to-end responsibilities that include customer experience, employee experience, and financial outcomes. Doyle currently oversees 181 stores, ranging from Western Pennsylvania to Maine, with combined annual revenue of approximately $7 billion. He has spent most of his professional career with Best Buy. Doyle was hired in 1998 as a General Manager for a retail location and has held multiple leadership positions throughout his career with Best Buy.

Doyle attended the MBA program at Lewis University in IllinoisUniversity of Pittsburgh.

Kaplan has been in the investment banking industry for over 20 years as a banker and operational leader. As Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Sagent Advisors, an independent investment banking firm, from 2003-2014, Kaplan organized and led the start-up activities, capital raising, and business development and was a key contributor in the development and expansion of the firm's coverage, global footprint, and revenue generating potential.


Prior to co-founding Sagent Advisors, he was a Director at UBS on the Investment Banking management team responsible where he was responsible for improving the performance of groups that supported the investment bank during a period of rapid growth at the firm.

Before joining UBS, he led the operations and administration of DLJ's investment banking business in Los Angeles from 1993 – 2000. During his tenure there, the office grew to become the largest investment banking team in the United States outside of New York City.

Kaplan is a graduate of Pepperdine University with a Bachelor of Science in Management and received his MBA in Finance from the Anderson School at the University of California, Los Angeles.
