Atlantis National Services Obtains Cyber Security Liability Insurance from Lloyds of London

GREAT NECK, N.Y., March 5, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Atlantis National Services, Inc. ("Atlantis"), a nationally licensed title insurance agency, is pleased to announce it has obtained policies to insure their Cyber Security Liabilities through Lloyds of London, becoming one of the first national agents in New York State to offer such protection to their clients.

Homeland Security has recently enhanced its focus on Cyber Security insurance due to increased risks from data breaches, business interruptions, and network damage. Under the new laws issued by Homeland Security, the Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements ("SSAE 16") requirements became an important prerequisite for title insurers. Under SSAE 16, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), the regulatory body which supervises all national banks, federal savings associations and foreign banks, issued a bulletin on October 30, 2013, detailing Third-Party Relationships and Risk Management Guidelines. Recognizing the importance of these changes, Atlantis quickly gained the necessary requirements to guarantee their clients insurance under the new SSAE 16 Cyber Security guidelines.
