Colodny Fass Insurance Lawyer Mike Colodny Named as a "Leader in Law" Finalist by South Florida Business and Wealth Magazine

In South Florida Business and Wealth Magazine's "Ultimate Court of Recognition," veteran lawyer Mike Colodny has been named as a 2015 "Leader in Law" finalist in the "Insurance" category, it was announced by the publication last week. Mr. Colodny is the founder and managing partner of Colodny Fass, a law and lobbying firm that recently marked its 40^th anniversary.

"My firm handles Florida insurance law, as well as nationwide regulatory proceedings, but it's especially moving to be honored along with my local colleagues, many of whose clients also rank among the most prestigious businesses in the world," Mr. Colodny said. "We have earned that caliber of success right here from our homegrown South Florida firms."

Mr. Colodny, whose formative years in practice were shaped by his public service as the four-term Mayor of North Miami, is being honored for his nationally known prowess in the insurnce industry.

The former General Counsel of Florida's Residential Property and Casualty Joint Underwriting Association and its successor, Citizens Property Insurance Corporation, Mr. Colodny was instrumental in negotiating several billion dollars in catastrophe claims funding, thereby assuring the organizations' ability to serve policyholders in the wake of a major hurricane. He also handles financial, real estate and other banking-related transactions.

Headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with another full-time office just one block from Florida's Capitol in Tallahassee, Colodny Fass law firm represents national and international clients in regulatory, transactional and administrative law, insurance defense, complex commercial litigation, and governmental affairs.
