AlphaCipher Appoints Lt. General (Ret.) Andrew Leslie to the Board of Directors


AlphaCipher Acquisition Corporation (d/b/a "Vadium") (the "Company"), the leading provider of digital privacy, security and trust solutions, today announced it has appointed Canada's Lt. General Leslie to the Board of Directors. Lt. General Leslie brings over 35 years of experience as the nation's Army Commander and Chief of the Land Staff which includes overseeing the Canadian Forces' electronic warfare, cyber and communications regiments. Lt. General Leslie has been recognized by numerous foreign governments for his contributions with the Commander's Cross Order of Merit from Poland as well as the Commander of the US Legion of Merit. As a member of Vadium's Board of Directors, Lt. General Leslie will help counsel Vadium in addressing the challenges faced by numerous armed forces around the world and how the AlphaCipher technology platform will enable privacy, security and trust solutions to safeguard the confidentiality and integrity of digital content throughout the information lifecycle.

About Lt. General Andrew Leslie


Lt. General Leslie is a former Army Commander and Chief of the Land Staff (2006 to 2010), with his last job in uniform as Chief of Transformation, from which he retired in 2011 after 35 years of service. He is now a consultant and serves in a voluntary capacity as a senior advisor on international affairs to the Liberal Party of Canada. Prior to taking on these post-retirement roles he led the Defense, Public Safety and Intelligence unit of CGI (News - Alert) Group, one of the world's leading global information technology and business process firms, headquartered in Canada. His career in the Canadian Forces started out as a field artillery officer with a variety of command and staff positions in numerous overseas postings with NATO and the UN. Several years ago he was in command of the electronic warfare, cyber and communications regiments of the Canadian Forces. His international missions included leading troops in the former Yugoslavia, where he was the Chief of Staff at Sector, Mission and Command levels, as well as the Canadian Joint Task Force Commander and Deputy Commander of the International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan in 2003. He has received numerous awards, including the Commander of the Order of Military Merit and the Meritorious Service Cross. Foreign governments have also recognized his contributions with the Commander's Cross Order of Merit from Poland, and from the US, the Commander of the US Legion of Merit. He is a graduate of the University of Ottawa and the Royal Military College with degrees in economics and Strategic Studies, and executive education at Harvard. He and his family live in Ottawa.
