Isotrak Creates Student Work-Study Program to Advance Supply Chain Studies in Conjunction With Georgia Tech

(Marketwire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ATLANTA, GA -- (Marketwired) -- 10/29/14 -- Isotrak, Inc. (@Isotrak_NA), a global leader in fleet management software and systems today announced that it is working with the Georgia Tech Supply Chain & Logistics Institute (SCL), a unit of the Stewart School of Industrial & Systems Engineering, to sponsor a work study program for graduate students in the supply chain and logistics field.  "We opened our North American Headquarters in Atlanta to be a part of the extensive supply chain ecosystem located here and as such, are incredibly excited to work with Georgia Tech and SCL to further advance the field of supply chain," said Brett Conner, Chief Operations Officer at Isotrak. "The student talent and curriculum at Georgia Tech and SCL is the best in the world and we're looking forward to working closely with the students and the School." Isotrak initially participated at Supply Chain Day, joining other supply chain leaders including UPS and Manhattan Associates in an intensive workshop hosted by SCL to expose students to advancements, technologies and trends in the supply chain and logistics arena. The company has since chosen to further invest in the school by establishing a work-study program to give students professional experience with supply chain challenges and solutions. Isotrak, as part of the program, will join the Supply Chain and Logistics Institute's Innovation Network.

The Masters of Science in Supply Chain Engineering students at Georgia Tech that participate in the Isotrak program will have the opportunity to become vital members of a supply chain and logistics professional services consulting practice. Students and Isotrak executives will work side-by-side with some of the largest Fortune 500 companies to do comprehensive studies on their supply chains and examine how to optimize and eliminate waste and inefficiencies from their businesses.

"We are pleased to have Isotrak as a member of the Supply Chain Innovation Network, as the company's telematics and supply chain technology and services represents an area that aligns well with the interests and competencies of SCL's ecosystem," said Tim Brown, managing director of the Supply Chain & Logistics Institute.

The Supply Chain & Logistics Institute at Georgia Tech provides global leadership for research and education in supply chain engineering. SCL focuses on the application of scientific principles to optimize the design and integration of supply chain processes, infrastructure, technology and strategy.  About Isotrak, Inc.  Isotrak is the leading provider of fleet management software solutions to some of the largest Fortune 500 companies and to six of the top 25 largest food retailers worldwide.
