IBM, SAP, Adaptive Insight and Infor Deliver Greatest Usability in Latest Nucleus Research Value Matrix for Corporate Performance Management

BOSTON --(Business Wire)--

Nucleus Research has released the 2014 second half corporate performance management (CPM) Technology Value Matrix, finding cloud offerings lead dynamic market growth amongst new deployments. Integration of business intelligence (BI) sweetens the pot for all organizations looking to streamline processes with enhanced user engagement through comprehensive reporting and visual graphics, translating large data sets into easily useable information.

The Value Matrix also shows a rare shift for the financial services industry as it is starting to adopt cloud solutions as a way to reduce reliance on IT and ease new deployments all while continuing to maintain control of their business processes.

"Who would have thought that Corporate Performance Management would be the solution that finally brought the financial services industry to the cloud. After years of resisting the moe, financial institutions are starting to embrace the cloud through CPM as a means to improve operations and reduce costs," said Nina Sandy, principal analyst at Nucleus Research.

Nucleus has evaluated operational efficiencies achieved by CPM customers through new and existing deployments over the past six months. Noted trends include growing requests for cloud deployment capabilities, continued integration into existing systems, and more effective usability features. Leaders in the Value Matrix maintain a significant focus on integrated BI, consistent application development, user interface consolidation, and added functionality.

Vendors like IBM, Adaptive Insights, SAP (News - Alert) and Infor are building their platforms on enhanced functionality in anticipation of broader user adoption, as deployments are either developed in-house or through acquisition. This view of furthering a holistic approach to CPM capabilities is based on the demand for wider deployments within organizations and increased industry adoption.
