SEB Latvia - 8th most valuable company in Latvia)(ENP Newswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ENP Newswire - 20 October 2014 Release date- 17102014 - 2014 TOP 101 of Latvia's most valuable enterprises has listed SEB Latvia as 8th most valuable company in Latvia while SEB group has been named as the 3rd most valuable business group in Baltics. A research held by investment bank Prudentia and stock exchange Nasdaq Riga shows that the total amount of SEB Latvia's assets has grown by 14% during the last year, reaching EUR 365.9 million. SEB Latvia is the only company in the TOP101 which has received the maximum result in corporate governance are - coefficient 100. 'Overall, this year's TOP101 has brought good news - mostly the value of the enterprises has increased. It has been affected by company's cash flow and profitability indicators improvement, as well as stock exchange share price rises in Europe. Positive changes can also be witnessed in the evaluation of corporate governance practice,' say organizers of the TOP101. Latvenergo was named as the most valuable company in Latvia for the sixth consecutive year. This year the overall value of 101 companies included in the TOP has grown to reach EUR 14.22 billion. Most of the companies have seen growth in their value, particularly in financial and wook processing industries. TOP101 has been compiled by analysing annual company reports. 400 annual reports were reviewed to choose 101 most valuable companies. They were compared by a number of indicators: company value and its changes, turnover, EBITDA and corporate governance coefficient. Since 2006 when TOP101 was initiated, this is the 6th year when SEB Latvia is named among the 10 most valuable companies in Latvia. In 2013 SEB Latvia was awarded with the 7th place.
