GE Appoints Three New Company Officers


(ENP Newswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ENP Newswire - 19 September 2014 Release date- 18092014 - FAIRFIELD, Conn. - GE announced today the appointment of three new Company officers.

GE has 195 officers globally who lead large revenue-generating businesses or are in critical technology or functional roles, helping to drive growth.

Jorg F. Debatin, 52, has been named vice president and chief technology officer for GE Healthcare. Debatin joined GE from Amedes AG, where he served as chief executive officer. Prior to joining Amedes AG in 2011, Debatin served as medical director and chief executive officer at the University Medical Center, Hamburg-Eppendorf.



He also worked as a radiologist at Stanford University, the University Hospital of Zurich, and the University Hospital of Essen, where he served as head of department for the Institute of Diagnostic Radiology. He holds an Executive MBA from Hochschule St. Gallen and earned his doctorate from the Medical School of the University of Heidelberg.

Jaime A. Irick, 40, has been appointed vice president of GE Lighting North America Professional Solutions. Irick joined GE in 2003, where he held a succession of leadership roles, most recently serving as general manager, GE Lighting North America Professional Solutions. Prior to joining GE, Irick served as an officer for the U.S. Army. Irick holds a bachelor's degree from the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York and earned his MBA from Harvard University.


Kelly A. Lafnitzegger, 47, has been named vice president of human resources for GE Power & Water. Lafnitzegger joined GE in 1989, where she held a series of leadership roles in human resources and development. Most recently, she served as senior executive of human resources for GE Transportation. Lafnitzegger holds a bachelor's degree from Fairfield University and earned her master's degree in human resources management and organizational behavior from Northwestern University.
