MAN FACES ROBBERY CHARGES
DURHAM -- William Dozia Smith, 25, of Anthony Drive, was arrested Saturday and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, discharging a firearm in the city, going armed to the terror of the people and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Smith was in the Durham County Jail Thursday under bonds totaling $1,505,000.
In other crime:
- Ronald Deshaun Lloyd, 21, of Morreene Road, was arrested Saturday and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon and possession of a firearm by a felon. He was in the Durham County Jail Thursday under a $750,000 bond.
- Demario Jamal Lee, 25, of Rose Garden Lane, was arrested Monday and charged with assault by strangulation, assault on a female and communicating threats. He was released from the Durham County Jail Monday on a $2,500 bond.
- A 25-year-old woman said she was robbed Wednesday in the 300 block of South Lasalle Street in West Durham. She said a driver's license, two credits cards, $130 and a Sony PlayStation 3 were taken.
- Burglars hit a house Monday in the 100 block of Petersburg Place and took 15 watches, a Samsung television and laptop computer worth $1,780.
