Companies need a social media policy

Businesses cannot prevent people from making negative comments about their brand via social media. Instead, they should use a few primary principles as the basis of a social media "governance" policy. Although an extensive social media policy may be necessary, it should contain practical, simple advice. The policy must be kept up-to-date and communicated to all staff.
