Since its inception in 2001, Utiba has developed some of the most flexible and scalable mobile financial service platforms in the business to business market. Now in a partnership with ValidSoft, it will be broadening the feature set offered to its Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) and banking customers worldwide.
Richard Matotek, Co-CEO of Utiba, said, "As mobile commerce takes off around the globe, we are very aware of the importance of security for the success of any offering. As we look to deploy sophisticated financial services solutions under our Converging Payments strategy, ValidSoft is a natural choice for us. We feel ValidSoft's advanced mobile payments authentication platform (SMART(TM)) delivers proven, real-time and user-friendly authentication that is ideally suited for mobile payments, and we are delighted to announce this partnership with them to deliver the most sophisticated and secure mobile financial services in the world."
ValidSoft, maker of telecommunications-based authentication and transaction verification solutions for financial services and government organizations all around the world, gives Utiba both a unique set of features that are baked into ValidSoft's proprietary software and more robust security than it currently offers to its customers. While Utiba has grown steadily over the last 12 years, it has not blown the doors off the industry, and this partnership gives it an edge that has been lacking until now. Likely there are quite a few silent non-customers of Utiba that will consider making a switch after the announcement of the partnership with ValidSoft.
While Utiba has spent more than a decade developing mobile financial services, enabling over 12 billion transactions each year, the privately held company does not have the security reputation that ValidSoft brings to the table. As part of the conglomerate ElephantTalk, ValidSoft carries substantial resources in fraud detection and prevention that will lay to rest many customer fears about security over Utiba enabled mobile payment systems. This partnership appears to be mutually beneficial for both organizations giving Utiba some extra security clout and ValidSoft broader circulation in the mobile payment market place.
