Globoforce Launches Globoforce Mobile for Enterprises

Globoforce, a provider of SaaS (News - Alert) employee recognition solutions, announced the launch of Globoforce Mobile, a new HR application that leverages the power of smartphone.

Leveraging Globoforce Mobile, enterprises can ensure that employee recognition and appreciation is keeping pace with commendable employee behaviors and performance, company officials said.

With Globoforce Mobile, managers and peers can give, receive, approve, and redeem recognition awards anywhere. This will ensure that strong performance and desired behaviors never get missed or remembered incorrectly. The timely, values-driven, and open recognition will enable companies to build more connected and fully engaged workforces.

“Globoforce continues to set the pace for the new frontier of HR and employee recognition. Globoforce Mobile, Recognition In*telligence, and Social Recognition are just three of the examples. No longer will employee appreciation be restricted to physical proximity, hampered by distance or timing, or invisible to the organization,” said Eric Mosley, CEO of Globoforce.

“Now, anecdotal ‘thank yous’ will be captured in a quantifiable, living embodiment of company culture,” Mosley added. “Best of all, HR leaders will have the real-time performance knowledge to identify their company’s influencers and truly understand the employee connections that push the company forward.”

The company has already brought out innovations such as Social Recognition, Recognition In*telligence, and Recognition Benchmark Index, and others. Globoforce Mobile is the first fully integrated mobile application to the employee recognition industry and the world’s leading global companies, company officials said.

“Tomorrow’s successful HR leaders will be the ones who embrace social and mobile technologies today,” said Jim Holincheck, managing vice president, Gartner (News - Alert), in a statement.

“These new technologies enable real-time employee connectivity and interaction across dispersed workforces, which can drive greater employee engagement, productivity, and ROI. As more companies adopt social and mobile into their HR functions, including employee recognition, they will benefit from the real-time view into employee performance and corporate culture,” Holincheck added.

Recently, Globoforce announced the results of the 2011 SHRM/Globoforce Employee Recognition Tracker Survey, a semi-annual survey on the state of employee engagement and recognition conducted by the Society for Human Resource Management.

According to the survey, nearly all HR leaders surveyed (99 percent) anticipate employee engagement being a key challenge they will face, yet non-strategic engagement and recognition programs continue to pervade companies.
